Provides an introduction to LGBTQ+ terms and concepts, an understanding of some of the health and health care concerns of LGBTQ+ people, an understanding of the importance (and ethical responsibility) of health care professionals in facilitating health and well-being regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity, case studies, collecting SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity), and identifies strategies for creating a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ patients.
