Introduces basic concepts related to human sexuality; sexual pleasure and functioning; communication between health care providers and clients; reducing stigma that people who are sexual and gender minorities face; and sexual consent

Presents information on a range of challenges to sexual health, including HIV, viral hepatitis, and other sexually transmitted infections.

Introduces participants to the key concepts and principles of harm reduction around substance use and sexual health.

Deepens participants’ understanding of harm reduction principles and connects these with the experience of what it means to work from a harm reduction perspective, so that they can incorporate this orientation into everyday work with clients.

Assists service providers in asking questions about sensitive subjects like sex, sexuality, STIs, partner notification, PrEP, substance use, and SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity), across cultural differences.
